In 2012, Bitmaker started on our mission to bridge the enormous gap between employers' demand for technical talent and the number of people with those skills. Together with colleagues past and present, we have graduated over 1,000 students from our courses and built a community of over 15,000 through events, workshops, and more.
Today, our team embarks on a new chapter of this mission with the support of an amazing organization.
Bitmaker has been acquired by the global leader in accelerated education, General Assembly. We're proud and excited about what we've accomplished so far, but we're just getting started.
"We've taken Bitmaker really far with limited resources and had been exploring ways to go to the next level," Andrew Mawer, our CEO and Founder said. "We discovered that our mission to deliver career changing, market-driven education is closely aligned with General Assembly's."
We wouldn't be here without our passionate team, incredible alumni, and invaluable partners. All of you have been extremely helpful, believing in this form of education and our mission.
